Pre-Conference Workshop of International Conference of Pakistan Association of Pathologists (PAP)Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT)

We are delighted to report that the pre-conference workshop on “Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT): Principles, Practice & Mutation Detection” was a resounding success today, October 6, 2025. The event, held at the Central Research Lab, Lahore General Hospital, brought together experts and participants from the field of pathology.

The workshop was expertly facilitated by Dr. Ghazala Rubi, with Prof. Dr. Nusrat Sohail providing valuable insights. The event was chaired by Prof. Dr. Farooq Afzal, and co-chaired by Prof. Dr. Faryad Hussain MS LGH.

The workshop provided a comprehensive overview of NIPT, including its principles, practice, and mutation detection. Participants gained hands-on experience with NIPT on FISH, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting.

The event concluded with a tea and snacks session, followed by the distribution of certificates to participants. We are grateful to all the participants, facilitators specially Prof Dr Farooq Afzal Principal PGMI/AMC/LGH who contributed to the success of this event.
